Eclipse
The stallion lifted his head high, and pawed the water. The cool liquid left a darker colored blanket on his back. Then he looked over at his beautiful lead mare, and saw her coat was darkened a bit. He smiled evilily at her, then turned his head away. |

Mystic Legacy Legacy looked oddly at Eclipse. She sighed and took a drink of water from the stream. It dripped from her chin to the ground, cold. Thats when it happened. She barely made it a few yards away, sides swaying and aching. She came to a stop near a group of pines and gently fell to the grass. Her breath quickened and she closed her eyes.
The pain grew worse and Legacy's instincts took over. She pushed with all her might. She knew this all to well. The very first time she tried to have a foal it died inside of her, and her body flushed away the remains. She badly wanted to be a mother, but her gift robbed her of that, that one thing.
She took a deep breath, and pushed her hardest. At last, a slimy, dark brown body emerged on the grass. Legacy caught her breath and leaned over to nuzzle the foal. She licked up it's wet face, even through it's sides weren't moving.
The colt's eyes didn't open. She nudged it and cleaned it more, but not even a whimper. Legacy's eyes grew watery, and leaked hot tears all over. She buried her face in it's tiny, soft body. It made her want to kill herself. She felt ashamed, was had nature done this to her? Meanwhile, her healing powers already worked their magic on the mare. Patching up the scars on the outside, yet ignoring the ones that burned on the inside. |

Eclipse
The stallion watched the mare, shaking his large head. "How can you love something so much, that you barely now?" He asked, a stupid question but he didn't understand it. He didn't love anything that much, and Legacy was his lead mare. He sunk his teeth into the foal's neck, carrying the dead body away. He shook it vicously, as soon as he was out of Legacy's sight.
He dropped the limp body into the rift, hoping a mountain lion or other creature would eat the thing. He was some what glad Legacy's power would never let her have a foal, this meant more breeding for him. He watched the body tumble down the cliff hitting many rocks on the way down.
He snickered under his breath and turned to go back to Legacy. He trotted back a happy glaze in his orbs, but a fake frown on his maw. He touched the mare lightly, something shocking him. It was electrifying, but he shook it off and touched her again. |

Mystic Legacy How can you love something so much, that you barely know?Legacy knew that Eclipse would never understand, and his cold words only brought her more anger. Her eyes dried, now hardening. "You will never know.........eleven long months with my foal inside me........bonded by heart, soul, and body...............you can have everythig you want by force, Eclipse. But you will NEVER have the elven months that I had with that foal." she stood up in her spot, eyes like daggers.Legacy knew deep inside her heart that she would be stuck with Eclipse's until she died. His powers would not let her leave, no matter how fast she could run. The buckskin mare groomed her coat, making herself look decent. She walked silently to the river for a drink of much needed water, waiting for Eclipse's next move. |
