Daelyn nodded. "Yeah... we got interupted before, remember?" she looked up at him.
Katsumi sighed. "Why don't you just talk with her and work things out. If it doesn't go well, make yourself forget but... you will never forget the feeling when you're around Jun." he looked at him with stern eyes. "I've done this before with someone I loved... I understand. Our hollow wants us to kill and always kill." but my hollow has been dormant for so long, so I have been in control all this time. he thought.

Kazuma's fingers curled around the edge of his mattress, and his grip hardened until his knuckles paled. He lifted his form upright and rested his back against the headrest, then tilted his head to stare Katsumi in the eyes, his expression dead serious. "This... Has less to do with my hollow than you think."
"You were much more awake then," Ian replied, chuckling.

Daelyn smiled. “So.....I want something to do....”
Katsumi looked behind him, hearing a thud and opened the door. There, Jun sat on her stomach with a large grin on her face. “What are you doing?” he said. “I wanted to see Kazuma but I... I guess I fell...” she smiled and tried getting up.

As if he had seen a ghost, the moment Kazuma's eyes fell on Jun they widened, and he stared at her vacantly. Unconsciously, he felt his fingers grasp at the wound on his chest. His gaze lowered until all he could see was pale blue sheets, and a strangled sigh parted his lips, "I can't do this..."
His bare feet pressed lightly onto the chapped wood floor as he slid his form off of the bed, and he silently passed Katsumi, and then Jun, his eyes glued to the floor. His body seemed to shift into autopilot as he mechanically stepped down the stairs and through the front door, ignoring the pain and overwhelming exhaustion that had claimed his being earlier.
He was running away. Again. He shook his head as his pace quickened over the gravel. He couldn't face his problems, so he ran away. It always seemed to turn out like this.
After he had been walking for fifteen minutes through the twisted, overgrown forest that outskirted Daelyn's house, he slumped against a tree and allowed his knees to give out, sinking to the ground. He fingered the mark on his chest once more as tears threatened to well in his eyes. What had he done this time? Jun had come to see him, smiling happily, as if she had forgiven him... And he'd ignored her. He had just walked away. He was the worst. Part of him wished somehow that she would follow him, and the other part was terrified of what he would say to her if she did. He really had screwed things up this time.

Jun blinked and stood up, following Kazuma. She walked slow but came to where Kazuma was sitting. "Don't be mad at me... and I'm not mad at you... and i know you don't love me... I'm fine with it... I'm used to it..." she sighed.

"That's not it!" Kazuma exclaimed, a bit more harshly than he had intended, as he spun his head around to face her. Then he stopped, the thick silence that hung around him suffocating. After a moment, he tried again, "That's not it... I just... I wasn't supposed to love anyone, I wasn't supposed to let anyone inside..." He lifted his gaze to her face and smiled weakly, "But I did, and now I don't know what to do..."

"Neither was I... until I met the Kurosaki's and then... you and Ian came into my life..." she said sitting closer to him. "And you don't need to be harsh..."

The wind began to pick up as Kazuma tilted his head upward, closing his eyes. "Since I was a child, my hollow was always kept under control. It never took me over, never forced me to hurt those close to me... But it was still there. It still tortured me from inside my head." He opened his eyes, but still couldn't bring himself to look at Jun as he recalled his memories out loud, "Hollows are meant to live alone, you know... If they stay in packs, they always end up betraying and killing one another. But because my brother and I were so close, we became the exception. My hollow had promised that I would always remain in control, as long as I, in turn, stayed loyal to only one person. That was an easy bargain for me, back then, when I only had one important person to begin with... But right now, I don't think I could make a choice like that."

Jun sighed and lightly put her hand on Kazuma's arm. “You're right... and your hollow won't leave you alone until it gets what it wants... and I'll let it...so... go ahead and I'll forgive you....” she said and looked away from him.

Slowly, Kazuma's eyes seemed to glaze over. A sigh escaped his parted lips, followed by two quiet words, "I won't." Although his voice was just over a whisper, there was a strange absoluteness to it; he had made up his mind. "I won't lose. This is my body, I'll make the rules. I won't let a monster control my life."
With a slow, careful movement, he raised a hand to her cheek and turned her face toward him, then leaned forward to brush his lips against hers gently, as if she were so fragile she might break under too much force. Then he lifted himself to his feet and flashed a determined smile. "When I've won, when there's no rush... And when we've both decided we're ready, because we want to, not because we need to... Maybe then. But not like this."

Jun looked up at him, seeming to be confused on what just happened. "Wait... does that mean you... you're not mad at yourself and me anymore...?" she stood up and walked toward him. "And...about before... when I told you to rot in hell... I'm sorry... I meant that toward the hollow... I'm so sorry that I made you do this..." she started to tear up.

"I was never mad at you..." Kazuma answered steadily. Just at myself, he added, under his breath.
He furrowed his brow as he became lost in thought for a moment, before he turned back to Jun. "Would you like to go back first?" He cringed; that had been intended to sound much more subtle, but it had ended up seeming as if he was just trying to get rid of her. He gave a sheepish smile in an attempt to redeem himself, "I just want to think for a bit..."

Jun heard him. She looked up at his eyes. They were sorrow filled but happy for something. Maybe her? Jun sighed. "I really don't want to leave you... and it's not just because I don't want to... I really don't think here is the best place to think... it doesn't seem safe... can I show you a place I go when I want to think? I'm the only one that knows about it but if you don't want to... you don't have to... and I'll leave you alone to think..." she felt awkward. She had never felt like this. She looked around nervously as though someone would be hearing them speak. "Jun, you pathetic worm..." a voice rang out. It was a soft, feminine voice that could be heard by both Kazuma and Jun. "You know... every single hollow you know... will die in your own hands..." it said again. Jun freezed, her eyes were wide. "Stop messing with my head!!" she screamed. "I know I won't hurt them! I love them! They are my only family!" she screamed again. "But what about me, your dear sister? I am your family too..." the voice mocked. Jun couldn't take it. She started to run, not knowing it where she was going. The forest engulfed her as she kept running.

Kazuma listened to the exchange quietly, calmly. As the words registered, it seemed another speck of life left his eyes. His spirit was slowly waning away. He turned his head slowly to watch Jun run, longing to chase after her, wrap his arms around her, and tell her everything would be alright. But he didn't. He couldn't.
When at last she was gone from his line of sight, he sunk to his knees. His presence really was a poison to Jun's mind... She wouldn't have to go through any of this had she never met him. He repeated these thoughts again and again in his mind, each another blow to his conscience. Finally, he had made up his mind.
As he drew the knife from his cloak, he examined it slowly, fingering the scar on his chest with his free hand. She would be sad, he knew... But she would get over him. It might take years, but she would find someone better, someone who didn't cause her the pain that he did just by being with her. Someone that didn't make her worry about taking her by force, or being killed by her own hands. He bit into his lip harshly, becoming more confident with each passing second as blood began to drip down the contours of his chin.
His fingers tightened around the handle of the blade as he brought the tip to the wrist opposite; he clenched his teeth tightly as he dug the blade in deeply at one side and sliced across. Once finished, he switched the blade into his now-maimed left hand and proceeded to mimic the same wound onto his right wrist. Then he slouched backward listlessly, the life beginning to fade from his eyes at the same speed of which the blood drained from his severed arteries.

Daelyn perked up. "What was that? I heard screaming..." she said getting up. Then, she felt Kazuma's life draining away. "Kazuma... he's dying!" she panicked and started to tear up.
Jun started to cry. "No! I won't kill them! I love them... I love them....!" she repeated and kept running.
