Eclipse
The stallion eyed the mare, her words stung him. "Would I lie to you about something like that?" His words escaped his mouth, after they were out he bit his tounge. He knew she was gunna like he was lieing, he was a dark stallion and he had lied to her about that when they met. He shook his head, "I am not lieing to you, I would never lead you on like that." He said, lightly touching her crest. A spot of the drying blood stained his nose, and he rubbed it off on his leg. |

Mystic Legacy "I see......" Legacy wasn't sure what to say. She let her eyelids close slightly for a moment. "But, do you love me?" she asked, staring him coldly in the eyes. "Or am I just your play-toy? Your trophy?" Now she was getting somewhere. She wanted to know the truth. All the pain he caused her, was it worth it? She could still escape.......no. She just couldn't leave him. |

Eclipse
The stallion walked closer to the mare, "Yes I love you." He said, grimacing at the thought that she doubted him. She had every reason in the world to doubt him about everything, but no one had ever doubted his love. He didn't give it out often, but he understood. He trotted away, not wanting to hurt the mare anymore. "Love you can leave if you wish." He called over his shoulder, not looking back. He loped into the rift, stumbling but not losing his balance. He stopped at the bottom, eyeing a few stray deer. He galloped at them, attacking one. He thrashed the body about in his teeth, the pent up anger releasing slowly.
Blood soaked his teeth and maw, as he dropped the limp body. The light brown doe lay in the deep grass, and the stallion watched it. It twitched a few muscles tensing then releasing again. He shook his head and walked to a small stream. He dipped his thick crown into the cool water. It a a marble like shine to it, something was shimmering in the distance and reflecting off the water. He walked into the water, and stopped half way through. There was nothing the wavy ripples in the water took over the reflection. He snorted and turned to walk out, his eyes meeting something glass. Something like Legacy's eyes, but he was sure it wasn't them.......or was it? |

Mystic Legacy
Legacy's orbs blinked slowly, it was true. But nothing prepared her for what the stallion said next.
...you can leave...This was her chance. Her chance to be free of her shackles and the abuse she suffered daily from Eclipse. At first, she was ready. Her heart pounded deep in her chest, as if it would jump out. Legacy's legs twitched, aching to run far, far away from the Dark Lands. A sudden, heavy pressure felt like it was lifted form her shoulders. He was letting her go.
The mare's eyes were glued to Eclipse. She stared in both disgust and pleasure as he attacked the doe. She bled from her nose and her deep, amber eyes almost squeezed form their sockets. Legacy shivered and ducked her head in a snake-like motion. Why was he angry? Was it something she did? Legacy dare question him.
It was when the stallion made his way to the water that Legacy was surprised most. He stared into it closely, what was he seeing. The mare cautiously walked in his direction, letting her figure disappear in seconds. She reappeared across the lake from him, not making a sound. Her eyes became dull, colder than ice. "I'm leaving you Eclipse............for now." |

Eclipse
The stallion watched the mare, a deep sigh caught between his clenched jaw. He eyed the mare, not wanting her to leave. It was her choose to leave, if she wanted to then she should be able to go.
He watcehd her for a minute, then turned back to hide a few tears. The hot tears slid down his face, but he shook them away. He would let the mare see him like this, and he trotted into the water. He dipped his nose into the water, sucking the cool liquid down. |

Eclipse
Depression sweep over Eclipse, and the stallion faded quickly. He walked slowly, and he slept many hours of the day. He stopped eating, and rarely drank. His coat lacked it's normal shine, and his eyes were dull. He looked out over the horizon, knowing there had to be something more out there.
He wandered off one day, never to return off to look for a new life a new beginning. |
