I grimly smiled and sat down beside the boy. "Rewriting history?" I said inclining my head. But I didnt press it. At that moment a delicious scent entered my nostrils. I inhaled deeply and a smile crept onto my mouth. I stood up. "How about some nice, juicy, freshly cooked meat?" I put my hands up. "And you can leave straight afterwards" I stretched out a hand watching him curiously. |

I pulled off the cooked meat and put on more meat on the fire and the smell got much stronger. I smiled as Xena came out "here catch" o called out and throw a piece of the freshly cook meat over to her which was snatched from the air. I smiled then went back to our food. I decided to call out that me and Xena would eat it all before Zoe got back "hey you two hurry back here or me and Xena will eat it all on yars " I smiled after i said it then made three plates out of bark and put nice sized pieces of the cooked meat on them and found a few eatable herds to go with the food.

Rakuto's face twisted, "No thanks... You can have your flesh, I'll pass." (lol ever since I went vegetarian, I have made all my characters follow suit...) He closed his eyes and tilted his head back. Soon he would run out of energy entirely, and his life would snuff out. This was his punishment, and he would accept it. His punishment for living.

I dropped my hand and sunk to my knees infront of me. Grabbing the boys face I forced him to look into my eyes. I glared at him. "Snap out of it!" I let go and glared at him. Then I flopped onto the ground facing him my brow uncreasing. "I don't know who you are or what you are doing here, but I think I can help you" I looked meaningfully at him. "Something about your past, I am guessing that somebody died..." I trailed of. "And I am guessing that she was a girl" By the look on the mans face I already knew it was true. I took both the boys hands in mine. "Do you want to talk to her?" I asked gently my green eyes wide. |

Rakuto shook his head slowly. Then his weak voice came out, "I already know what she would say... I've troubled her enough, and I'm the last person she'd want to talk to. So now... Now I'll just finish my part and accept my punishment, it's the only thing I can do..."

I was now really board sitting around so i put the fire out and hide the food away and walked towards were Zoe and this boy would be. I looked over to see Xena with my back pack in her mouth and dropped it next to me when i stopped "thanks maybe water would do nicely for the boy and Zoe if she wants some" i said then started walking faster and finally they came into my view "there you two are bu ti guess i will stay over here and if you want any water come over and get it from me your selves" i said and pulled out a few water skins and laid them next to me as i sat down and shut my eyes.

I glared at him. "You are not a bad person!" I raised myself to my feet glaring and turned to walk over to where Tamika was lying. I gave her a quick smile and grabbed a spare blanket. I walked back over towards the boy and threw the blankets over him. "Sleep, and reconsider your feelings. I don't think she would ever hate you, since you liked her so much" I sighed and went over to sit on the ground. I curled up in a ball shivering slightly and closed my eyes, drifting into an uneasy sleep. |

Rakuto sighed. "My feelings?" he whispered, "This has nothing to do with how much I loved her... She died because of me, and no matter how strong my feelings for her were, this fact will not change..." He took the blanket and draped it over the girl, and walked away. As he passed the other girl that had just come to them, he said, "When she wakes up, please tell her to leave me alone and forget about me." Bad things would befall anyone who got close to him...
Rakuto found a small clearing and set his weapon on the ground, then he lit it on fire. He curled up next to it, making sure the flame wouldn't catch on anything else, and slowly fell into a fitful sleep.

I laid there not a care in the world at this moment in time. i sighed and felt Xena next to me and with a soft smiled just relaxed i heard what the boy said no way i would for now but i might in time like i had my own family those few years ago. I turned over so i faced Zoe " i was never asleep well not yet and the reason i was were i was when you found my earlier was i ran away from my family when i was about ten got over it after while" i said with a half smile

I didn't hear the soft footsteps pass behind me because I had drifted into a peaceful slumber. I felt warmer, cosier. I sighed and rolled over to face Tamika who began to tell me of her life story. I listened intently even though I was very tired. "You ran away!" I said shocked. I smiled radiantly.
Then I turned over to face... nothing! I jumped up my eyes widening and felt something heavy falling of me. I turned to Tamika. "Why didn't you tell me!" I said looking offended and shocked. I ran into the trees but didn't bother calling for the boy. Bending down my finging traced the footprint that belonged to him. I headed on it that direction.
Finally. With a spin in mid air I turned invisible and danced silently into the clearing. "You know i'm not going to give up, you have to talk to her" I appeared looking dissaproved and tapping my foot impatiently. "You can't hide" I said silkily tossing my sheet of silkily caramel hair. |

Rakuto glared at her, "I'm not hiding. Just... I've caused her enough trouble, so why would I continue to trouble her even after she died?" His voice was becoming louder, heated. "There's a point where there is nothing you can do anymore, and I have long since passed that point. Now if you would be so kind as to leave and not stick your nose in my business any longer, that would be nice." He turned his head away and closed his eyes. If all else failed, he would ignore her until she grew bored of his issues and left. She may pretend to care now, but he knew it wouldn't last. It never did.

I glared at him. "How can you give up like that?!" I didn't want an answer. Anger bubbled in my heart. "I'm sure she would love to talk to you, your just to afraid that she will hate you. And if you regret what you did then you can say sorry" With a small pop I turned invisible and thumped back against the ground drawing in the dust. "I'm not going to leave until you agree" I said stubbornly. |

I stood up after a time and walked off into the trees that was around me Xena followed a few meters behind. I stopped walking and sat down falling to sleep there and i had a strange dream a very strange dream indeed.
I was walking along a sandy area not near water it was just sand. I stopped to rest when a booming voice "my dear girl i grant you wings of the Pegasus for when you are in need for a quick get away and you will find your dress white again but changed so your wings will fit and there is a cloak that will match the dress and will hide your wings form people view in the horse world" that was all who ever it was said and I got up and started to walked away int the trees back to were i was sleeping.
I woke with a start and ran back to were i left my pack and took out the almost glowing white dress which the back had changed there was two slits for were that voice said my wings would fit and then i found a cloak that matched my dress to which i smiled how it happened i did not know but now i had a new power.

"Whatever," Rakuto grumbled, and then sprawled out on his back. "I'm going to sleep... AGAIN." He closed his eyes and proceeded to ignore her, but he couldn't stop his mind from running over the possibilities. Could he really see her face again? What would she say? Would she hate him? Could he ever get her spirit to forgive him? Would she want revenge against him? Would she curse him? These thoughts came endlessly, streaming through his mind until he thought of nothing else. It was as if it was eating away at his consciousness. He sighed, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to talk to her one more time after all...

I watched him, invisible. Emotions flickered over his face, hard to read, but not impossible. I smiled but turned my head as I heard the crack of a stick, maybe it was Tamika, or a wild animal. I shrugged turning back and I grins sidled across my face. "Having second thoughts" I asked raising an eyebrow.
