Hannah&Macha
I started to stir my head throbbing as I lay still on my side. What happened? I slowly began to pick up my head, groaning as I did. Macha, where was she?! I jumped up quick as I could. I felt different somehow. I couldn't describe the feeling. I looked down to see her still sleeping. I shook my mane and yawned slightly. I couldn't believe my luck. I had lost him and then this weird thing happened. I felt something weird within, my sides ached slightly, and so did my legs and back. Something was wrong with me now.
I felt like something was slithering within my soul, waiting oh so patiently to get free. I shook the feeling off and walked to my filly. She had gotten bigger and I was surprised by it. I started thinking of Oscuro once again, and I was growing angry. I felt something stir in my sides. I groaned as pain now spread through me. And then something was cutting through my sides. I let out a painful scream as these large things thrust from my side. Splattering blood all over. My sides were throbbing and burning. As large shadows extended near.
I closed my eyes and slowly opened them groaning at the pain and thats when I felt what seemed to be new muscles. A different feeling. I looked to my side and saw these huge feathery black wings and I couldn't help the words that blurted out, "Oh Goddess Morrigan and Macha, you've given me the raven's flight." I turned to see Macha had suddenly woken and I wondered. She had a bewildered look in her eyes and me, I didn't know what to think. Until I heard her cry out with pain as her sides began to hurt her.
Macha had heard her mother's pain and woke slowly. Her head throbbing with pain. She opened her eyes in a groggy manner and stood up. She shook her head and looked at her mom. Suddenly her eyes widened and she looked at her mother's large raven black wings. She couldn't believe the appearance. They were beautiful and frightening as she realized that there was a sharp spike at the joint and another at the wing bone end. She took a step back then squealed with pain as it rippled through her body. She snorted and groaned as more pain came.
Macha bobbed her head then squealed and almost fell from the force of two large wings thrusting from her sides. Black and feathery like her mothers, but just not as big. She looked herself over with her own surprise before looking at her mother. She thought to herself Goddess Macha, you've pleased me with the raven's touch! She smiled and gave her mother that look. I watched as my daughter grew wings like me. But she lacked spikes. I smirked. If this is what we had, then what did Oscuro have? Was this all that there was? Maybe, maybe not.
I flapped my wings sending a large turret of air rustling leaves and such. Macha did what I did and by her wry little smile, I knew she wanted to soar through the sky. "Not yet." She pouted slightly and I groaned and nodded. I would try first as she watched. I flapped my mighty wings and felt like I was getting lighter. But it didn't have enough lift. I jumped forward kicking off hard to fly over the land. And it worked I was flying, like the ravens that were companion to my goddesses Macha and her upper Morrigan.
I glanced behind me to see Macha looking up at me. I nodded. Macha felt her heart leap as she had been given the signal to join her mother and she made it swiftly into the air, not thinking of landing, because she felt the instinct to do so when it would be needed. They flew side by side. and landed easily in a different land. It reeked with a strange scent. Macha made a funny face and looked at her mom. I looked down at Macha she had definitely grown a bit since her birth, nearing her first year.
I gave a small huff of air and sniffed the nearby trees and ground. A familiar scent flowing into them. It was someone I knew a little while ago. I had a small snarl on my face, and when I looked at Macha, she had a hurt look. She had remembered this horse's scent, the one we were after. I nudged her reassuringly, and she sighed slightly and straightened up. We walked quietly, searching for him, listening for any sound. Macha had seem to feel nothing anymore, not pain nor any other feelings. I was following in her steps now.
