Grey stallion thundered into the land. It was beautiful but there was only one issue that seemed to concern the stallion… There was no damned snow. Galloping around he smirked, the land had a large open meadow like area, a river that ran through the woods, a wooded area that had a safe path to walk through in order to get to a cave that lead deep into a mountain, protecting its inhabitants from harsh winds. Rearing up, a large snowstorm began to blow harshly as Winter called out loudly, the harsh winds carrying his voice. “I, Love Like Winter, Claim this land as my own Forever Frozen Winter!” Land Info Name: Forever Frozen Winterland Info: The land here is in a never ending snow age. Every where here there is snow and ice, never melting even when the sun is up. The trees are forever frozen in a state of death without their leaves, glistening in the sun. Of course, the pine trees are the only ones with leaves. There is a cave that provides shelter for the herd from the night. Oddly enough the cave is kept warm, even when nightly temperatures get as low as 17 degrees. Pictures: The Path to the Cave: Inside The Woods; The Frozen Meadow: The River In Between The Woods:

(Do you mind?) Arabella
My 16.5hh frame was scratched upon the horizon. I stood between tall trees the wind picking up my mane and tail. My long legs held me high above the ground and my long neck was arched in a peaceful fashion. It was a hot day, the sun shining down onto my rose grey back. My pale gold eyes were half closed as I lazed about. I sighed peacefully. I had been here a week and nothing yet had disturbed the silence and the serene tranquillity. I tossed my beautiful Dutch Warmblood head. I was a rose grey pure Dutch Warmblood. At 7 years of age I was not a stupid horse. In fact I was smarter than most, having travelled for most of my life, seen things others would only dream about.
I jumped up, startled as the ground beneath me seemed to shift. My hooves were suddenly icy cold and my hide yearned for warmth. I shivered and looked around in shock. The land had become... well, winter. The trees were covered in snow and ice. I tilted my head and began to move between the trees. I walked so calmly I looked as though I was floating over the ice. My eyes widened as I took in my surroundings. There was no longer any wind but I was freezing cold. The sudden change in weather had been unexpected, for my body was used to soaking in the warm sun.
As I weaved between the furry pines I looked round in astonishment. How had it suddenly gone from summer to winter? I shuddered and stopped full in my tracks as, right ahead a dapple grey stallion stood pawing the ground, tossing his head. My eyes turned from gold to turquoise blue in a flash. I stood, frozen my body tensed, ready to run. It hit me suddenly that I wasn’t in the neutral lands as I had suspected. But in the darks land, I cursed softly for my stupidity.
I began to back away, my feet made no sound as I moved away. My large body was not easy to hide. My unique coat was extremely hard to camouflage as well. I thought he might have spotted me, but as I was back in the forest now I turned and began to trot in the other direction.
After awhile I came upon a path lined with trees. I looked around in desperation but all I could see was more snow. I wanted to get out of this place, get out before the stallion discovered I was here. But I had the worst feeling that the stallion already knew. With a sharp swing in my step I changed direction and began to head up along the path. I was gorgeous, my long mane flickering out in the breeze as I cantered along the snow covered path.
My strides were slowly lengthening when, with a squeal I sat on my haunches and slid to a stop. A cave stood in front of me, the entrance rising up taller than the top of my head. I turned my crania to look around, swished my tail and began to walk slowly into the cave. The warmth washed over me like I had sunk into a hot bubbling spring. I sighed flexing my muscles looking around for signs of life. I backed into a corner and lowered my head closing my eyes and relaxing my tense muscles. My ears flickered as I thought I heard a snap of a twig somewhere outside the cave. I didn’t raise my head though; I was tired from the constant travelling I had been doing all week.

Kat I was going to have a separate thread for the herd, plus his claim still has to be accepted, which is why I have all the threads with him and a mare on hold.
