Ta-Leaha
With Small, but quick steps the young girl strode through the forest. Her caramel coloured hair reached just below the base of her neck, tied in a loose but compact plait. A sun-bleached side fringe lightly blew in her eyes. She moved quietly, light grey eyes focused on the soft ground ahead of her. Dim rays of light filed from the sun above the canopy of the trees she walked beneath. Her feet tough and hard from the years of constant walking, of barely a satisfying rest. She stopped quickly, her head lowered, blond plait falling over her shoulder. With quick movements her head rested in her hands, she took a deep breath. With a small sigh, her head lifted from her hands, her cheeks were crimson. Her grey eyes darker, almost like storm clouds. A frown was on her soft, tanned face and she began to walk again, her hands hanging at her side.
Ta-Leaha’s movements were soft but quick, her arms swung rhythmically at her side. The soft grass brushed over her feet, making her giggle slightly because it tickled. The ground was hard underneath her feet and she felt lucky that the grass grew over the hard earth. The smile left her lips slowly and her soft face returned to normal. Her grey eyes were lighter than before, sparkling as they always did. Caramel coloured hair bounced as she walked, hitting her shoulders as she stopped abruptly, she turned slowly, her grey eyes curious as she scanned the area behind her. A frown was set on her face, watching curiously until she slowly turned back and kept walking. Her ears captured the sound of water rushing and she smiled slightly, with a clap of her hands, her stride became longer and her steps faster and soon she was running quietly throughout the forest, her movements were sleek and smooth, quite like a seal’s in some ways. Raising her hands, she came to a sudden stop, the bulge in her pocket moved and she winced. The water in front of her could barely be called a river, as she thought it was. It was more like creek, little. It was rushing fast though it was quite clear. Smiling, she lowered herself. Using her hands and knees to guide herself closer to the creek. She lifted her hands slightly, before replacing them into the creek. She quickly lifted them to her mouth, quenching her burning throat. She did this for quite a while, before sitting back on her knees and watching the creek run.[/
