Appearance:
Unnaturally tall, slender, and pale, Ashe takes on an almost ethereal appearance. Her hair and clothes, entirely black, contrast strongly against her bleached skin, leading to the alias, “Obsidian Angel.” The only color in her figure is the vibrant emerald green of her eyes.
She is dressed in a slightly oversized gi, trimmed in silver with a matching silver sash drawn tightly about her waist. The top cuts off at her shoulders, revealing much of her arms, which are marked with countless scrawling black runes, drawn in her own blood. Underneath, Ashe wraps a layer of gauze tightly over the majority of her torso to bind her chest flat. Finally, the outfit is completed by a light pair of navy blue combat boots.
Abilities:
Ashe, being an artificial “Angel” was created to command the crown chakra, the center of energy at the top of a person’s head. With this, she has the ability to affect the physical world around her to a devastating degree. She can loosen or strengthen the bonds between matter, causing solid materials to become intangible without the slightest change in appearance, or inversely make intangible materials, such as air, impenetrable.
As a passive ability, Ashe’s blood is highly toxic. The blood, which flows silver, is a powerful acid that will eat through anything organic in a matter of moments. The blood binds itself to its victim, and can only be cured through the antidote contained in Ashe’s saliva. The blood also serves as a neurotoxin, causing asphyxiation and muscular paralysis if ingested.
Aside from serving as an antidote, Ashe’s saliva also acts as a powerful analgesic and encourages natural healing.
A pair of enormous, black-feathered wings were grafted onto Ashe's back to mark her rebirth, but they were brutally torn from her back several years ago, leaving two healed-over shards of bone protruding from her shoulder blades. However, Ashe can revert her form to previous states, effectively recreating the wings on her back for periods of time.
Finally, Ashe is capable of creating two types of chains from within her body. The first, produced from her left hand, is formed of the same material that makes up her blood, and as such is quite deadly. Furthermore, these chains are sharp and barbed, designed for combat rather than confinement. Inversely, the chains released from her right hand are solely to bind victims. These chains absorb the energy exerted by the victim, and, as a debatably animate object themselves, use it to autorepair and strengthen their hold.
Weapons:
Ashe carries a single large Odachi strapped to her back, which is sealed within the hilt by a tangled mess of chains that automatically retract at her touch. The remainder of her weapons are kept concealed within her clothing. As Ashe has an extensive knowledge of poisons and acids, it should always be assumed that her weapons are laced with something destructive, more likely than not her own blood, a dangerously acidic neurotoxin.
Personality:
Ashe is quite cold and detached, and seems to no longer care about the world around her. She has crazed, violent streaks, in which she enjoys torturing and killing those unlucky enough to be in her path, but those are generally controlled unless encouraged by outside influences. Ashe respects intelligence more than anything, and can be fiercely protective of those she comes to respect. Finally, she has a very biting sense of humor, and often comes off as quite degrading.
History:
Ashe remembers nothing of her past; her earliest memory is rising forth from an inky, eternal darkness, to find a gaping hole opened in her chest. The pain of the moment had nearly made her crawl back to the darkness in her mind, but she had quickly steadied herself and drew her gaze away from the bloodied wound to the woman above her. A young girl with blond hair and piercing blue eyes had "recreated" her, and to do so, had cut out her heart.
There were six others, each with control over another of the seven chakras of the body, and the "creator" told them of their purpose: they were given a new life, never to age or die, in order to preserve the balance between the populations. Ashe, the first born, was considered a sort of leader among them, and her detached and professional attitude served her well throughout the years. The creator left them to their own, offering two parting gifts: a sword which would end the life of an artificial "Angel," and one which could create it. These swords were parted and left in the hands of humans very distant from each other.
One among them, the commander of the Solar Plexus chakra, was not pleased by this. He attacked Ashe for the support of the group, and the two fought bitterly. The battle ended in Ashe's victory, but she paid a heavy price. Emile, her adversary, had ripped the wings from her back, never to grow again.
From that moment on, the group split, and went their own separate ways. Ashe has spent the remainder of her years wandering aimlessly, her original objective entirely forgotten, and her only joy found in the blood and destruction of others.
Conditions:
Ashe has no heart; when her creator ripped it from her chest it was sealed into a box and hidden away. The heart still beats and is kept a part of her through currents of energy, and as such the only way to kill her is to find and destroy the heart. Ashe absorbs all the pure energy and nourishment she needs through her skin; her body does not perform cellular respiration and as such does not consume any type of food or oxygen. Her body does not produce heat, and most internal organs serve absolutely no function.
