"I believe you, but I don't want to risk you getting hurt at all, no matter how little, for being near me." Mordecai said, stopping and looking Willow in the eyes. He wasn't crying, but something about his expression showed extraordinary pain. He was terrified of seeing somebody else he cared about hurt, and the thought that it was because they were with him killed him.

The fire came back to Willow's eyes as she placed both of her hands on his chest. 'Mordy. I. Will. Be. Fine. You only need to worry about yourself, i can take care of myself.' Turning to the forest her eyes lit up as a big smile appeared on her face. 'Jade, get over here, you know you can't hide from me.' A dark haired female ran from the woods to hug her friend. 'Wiilow! It's felt like forever since i've seen you. Hi Mordy, i'm Jade!' Both girls laughed as they waited for his reaction.

"Uhhh... Hello, Jade." Mordecai said, a slight smile appearing on his face. He felt really awkward. He looked at Willow.
"Ok. Thank you." He whispered, almost to himself, then turned to Jade.
"How long have you been there?" He asked, curious, not annoyed.

Jade smiled as she avoided both of their eyes. 'Umm...hehe...well' Willow shook her head with a laugh as she put an arm on Jade's shoulder, eyebrows raised. Jade sighed after five minutes of silence, having mentally argued with Willow. 'Fine...about 5-6 mins. God Willow... you soo freaking stubborn.' Willow shrugged at her friend. 'Oh well, you love me too much...don't deny it.' Both girls looked at Mordy. 'We meant that in a sisterly way...*burst into a laughing fit*'

"If you'd been watching for five minutes...." Mordecai blushed again, though it wasn't as noticable due to the darkness and the fact that he was facing away from the fire. He smiled, though. It would certainly be an interesting night.

Jade raised an eyebrow as she playfully smirked. Willow locked gazes with her friend as yet another mental argument broke out, this time with Jade breaking it with a laugh. 'Awkward that you two have the same thoughts...though i'm finding it a little funny.' Willow smacked her forehead as her head slowly shook. 'Jade if i didn't look out for you, you'd get in too much trouble.' Jade quieted. 'You didn't...please tell me you didn't...Jade what kind of trouble did you get into this time?' 'umm, none?' 'ugh'

Mordecai's hand strayed reflexively to the hilt of his blade, as he looked around.
"What's the problem? Are you being followed, owe money, what?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder again. He also couldn't help but wonder what the two were thinking about. It was interesting that they shared a sort of telepathic bond. Though also agitating, as he hadn't the slightest idea what they were talking about.

Willow laughed slightly as she put a hand on his arm. 'It's ok Mordy. Jade here, likes to mess with peoples minds in this world. Hell, i'm sure that if i didn't watch over her she'd be in a lot more trouble, right Jade?' 'What?! i woul-oh shut up Willow...that one wasn't my fault...that was before i could control it...i said i was sorry!' Willow shook her head. 'Not the point Jade...hell you're the reason we had to run! Freaking boys, i swear the reason our age group has such a bad rep is cause of them!'

Mordecai's expression grew quite confused, as his hand dropped back to his side. He looked back and forth between the two.
"Well, it's good that you don't seem to be in serious -as in life-threatening- trouble-, but all the same, what are you two talking about? I don't have the slightest idea what you two are talking about. Are you talking about a past experience, or what's happening now, or....?" He asked, scratching the back of his head.

Both girls laughed before Willow spoke up. 'It was two years ago and trust me, you don't want to know. As in....well you...let's just changed the subject.' Jade nodded in agreement. 'Yea that past best left just between us...Oh by the way Willow here's you sword back..hehe' Willow's eyes widened be she looked at Jade. 'One of these days i'm going to end up smacking all you little 'habits' out of you head.' Jade rubbed the back of her head. 'So...what we do next'

Mordecai shrugged slowly.
"I suppose I should make another shelter if you plan on spending the night with us, Jade." He said, pointing out the Lean-to behind them. "There's really not enough room in there for three."

Jade shook her head. 'Don't worry about it, i'd rather sleep outside on a tree branch anyway.' Willow chuckled, yup that was here Jade, she always did used to joke about her being part monkey...mainly because of how easily she climbed through trees. 'Willow...that so not funny...you know i hate being called a monkey!' 'Ehh, you sure climb trees like them' Two minutes later found Jade acting fustrated after chasing Willow...only to have said girl turn into a wolf...effectively pinning her friend down.

Which in turn saw Mordecai laughing in the background, as he roasted some fish over the fire. He'd caught three decent sized trout in a nearby stream, and he was quite happy of it. It wasn't that he caught fish, or the number, he simply didn't expect delicious river trout to be running this early.
He liked fish.

At the smell of fish both raced back to the fire, though just as Willow changed back...Jade fell on top of her. '..Jade...you're-' 'Don't you dare finish that sentence...' Willow smirked as she went to speak again, only to have Jade move so she was sitting on Willow's back, her hand covering the blonde's mouth. Willow set her friend a glare as said friend smiled. 'HA! Payback's a bitch ain't Willow...hahah-hey! not funny...i'm not a bitch and don't you dare deny thinking it.How do you deal with her?'

Mordecai smiled.
"I have my ways. I think we have a certain connection. As you can see, we both like white footwear. If that doesn't mean anything, I don't know what does." He said, smiling, as he poked the fish which hung over the fire.
Poke.
Poke.
Poke.
That smells so good.
Poke it more, maybe it'll cook faster.
