Ashe grinned, "I hit my head, not my foot." She didn't know why, but she felt happy and light-hearted, more than she ever had in the horse realm. It felt as if a huge weight had been removed from her shoulders.
The smell of the noodles reached her, and she glanced down, just noticing them. She eyed them hungrily, but didn't touch them. Instead, she watched Leon to see what he would do.

Leon smiled back, feeling the same. It had been so long since he'd been truly happy, yet Ashe had him smiling left and right. He noticed Ashe glancing at the noodles, but not doing anything.
"I'm guessing you haven't tried it before." He said, as he held his palm a half inch over the noodles to check the temperature. It felt edible. As such, he took the fork, gave it a single twist to ensnare some of the noodles, and raised it to his mouth. He watched the steam roll off it for a moment, before opening his mouth and gingerly taking the mouthful. His eyes eyes widened, momentarily, but he gave his head a slight shake and swallowed, seemingly none the worse.
"Still.... Somewhat hot. But certainly edible. Please, try it, it's delicious."

Ashe watched him eat, watching the way he used the fork curiously. She'd never seen a utensil like that before... She glanced around the table, then saw what she was looking for. She reached out and grasped a small pair of wooden chopsticks and broke them apart. Then she too dipped the ends in the steaming bowl, bringing a small mouthful up for her to examine. It was true; she had never seen food like this, but she had never smelled anything so delicious before. She waited a moment, then leaned forward and closed her mouth around it, chewing slowly to taste the strange food. Her eyes widened, "This is really good!"

"Please, eat up. You can have mine if you aren't full." Leon said, smiling. He deliberately didn't continue eating his food, for that very reason. He wanted to be sure she was full. He could go days without eating. One of the things he'd became capable of throughout his life. He looked around, quickly, and saw a couple guys staring at her, talking... Rather excitedly.
"I'll be back in a second." He said, quietly, and snuck through the crowd, coming up at their table.
"Hello, gentlemen."
"Whadda yew want?"
"You seem to be enjoying... The sights."
"It's none of your buisiness, boyo."
"That's all I need to hear." He said, standing. The man fell backward out of his chair when he saw how.... For lack of a better word, Large, Leon was. Leon grabbed him and his friend both by the neck, lifting them off the ground single handedly. The human world though it may be, he was still immensely strong.
The place became quiet.
"Simple as this: Whatever you may be thinking of doing, forget it, or I kill you both. Ok?"
They nodded as best they could, and he dropped them in a heap on the floor, before returning to his seat.
The background sound returned, as the two left.
He looked at Ashe.
"Assholes. They wouldn't have managed anything, I'm sure. But it's better to deter them than to have to kill them for trying something clever."

Ashe had never been to an inn before, so she gave him a confused look. "Something clever? What do you mean?"
(lol, she has no clue what kind of trouble being 19 with her shape and clothes can bring in a place like that XD)

"They were probably going to one of us left for whatever reason, and when you were alone... Do something that wouldn't be acceptable by anyone's terms, and for which I would hunt them down." He said, noteworthy anger in his tone at society. He looked back at her.
"But don't worry. Nothing, expecially not something like that, will ever happen when I'm around, for however long that might be." He said, with a shrug. He knew he'd convinced her to stay for a little while, but he really had no clue how long she truly planned on staying, or whether he'd ever see her again afterwards. He hoped so, though. He really did enjoy her company.

Ashe smiled, it really was nice to feel like you could rely on someone... She finished her ramen, and leaned back slightly, feeling very content. She hadn't felt like this in a long time, since she was with... She suddenly straightened up, how could she forget? She hadn't seen her only friends in a a while, and they had just resonantly come back to this realm. She couldn't come to the human realm without going to see them! And if she remembered right, Dasuke had planned dinner for them.
She glanced at Leon, "I have some friends in the area, and I was thinking of going to see them. You don't have to come if you don't want to..." she trailed off. She didn't want to leave Leon, but he didn't seem like he would enjoy something like that.

"Uh, no, I'll go. It sounds like it'll be fun!" Leon said, smiling. Though it was fairly obvious that he was half hearted, it was a small sacrifice to stay in her company. Even though he didn't like social gatherings, it was no big deal.

Ashe could tell he didn't really want to, but a wide grin spread across her face, "Great!" She rose from her seat eagerly, and headed for the door.

Leon smiled as well, and followed her outside, his hands in his pockets. He looked around. There were a few people he knew making silent cat-call signs. He shook his head, and extended his arms, middle fingers raised, to either side, as they walked. He stopped after a moment, and looked at Ashe.
"How far is the place? If you're not feeling too well to walk a long distance, I can carry you again." He asked, shrugging. He wanted her to be comfortable.

Ashe quickly turned her face away, hiding the fact that she was blushing. "I can walk... and it's not much farther."
(so should we continue this in target?)
