Hide And Seek?

Touya barely managed to keep his face expressionless; though he felt like electricity was running through his skin. Why was she leaning on him? Was she teasing him? What if she already knew how he felt, and was just trying to see if he'd lose control? Crap, crap crap! He took a deep breath to calm himself down. No, she wasn't like that... And besides, he'd been very careful, right? He had tried so hard to hide his true feelings, and if she had seen through that... Well, he would probably run away, die his hair, and change his name.

"So, how about we take advantage of this coincidental meeting and do something? Like get something to eat somewhere. I haven't eaten at all today, so I'm really hungry." Just as he finished talking, he cringed mentally. Crap, what if she thinks I'm coming on to her? No, no, friends can go out to eat together without meaning anything, right? Wait, is that only when both friends are the same gender? Agh, I don't know anymore... Touya cleared his unresolved mental argument from his head and gave a friendly smile. Just friendly, right? No hidden meaning or anything, I just think of her as a friend... I have to convince myself before I can convince anyone else. He took a deep breath, and sighed, Yeah, I don't think convincing myself is working...

(Touya is my mystery guy; he always tries to play cool. So no emotions involved with his "internal conflicts," show on his face. Just as a note)

Kathryn smiled warmly at Touya before nodding. She hoped she wasn't blushing because she knew she liked Touya... But if he didn't like her the way she liked him, she didn't want to ruin their friendship.
"That sounds nice."
Just then her stomach growled, she covered her stomach, hopefully keeping a straight face, even though that was a bit embarrassing.

Looks like I finally found him...

Touya chuckled lightly, "Guess we could both use some food. Let's go then."

A young woman stepped out from behind a tree, into the path before him. "Long time, no see, Touya."

Touya's eyes widened as he stared at her, "Ah- You're... Hana... ko?"

A dangerous smile spread across her lips, "Wow, you remember me, what an honor!" Her voice dripped with sarcasm, and the smile dropped from her face, leaving it cold and expressionless. "I see you haven't changed."

"No, I-"

The girl, Hanako, interrupted him sharply, "Is this girl your new plaything? I feel sorry for her."

"I'm telling you it's not like that!" Touya yelled, finally losing his composure. "I'm not like that anymore!"

Hanako remained silent for a moment, and then her eyes narrowed. "Isn't that the exact same thing you told most of them?"

Touya redirected his gaze to just behind her, and for the first time noticed the small mob of people standing a few yards further away. "What the-"

"These people are all the girls whose hearts you broke, and all the guys whose girls you stole. It took me a hell of a time rounding them all up, but it was worth it. Because we all want the same thing- the destruction of your entire life."

Touya's face paled as his eyes scanned each person behind her. He even noticed a few small children among them, and he could not deny their striking resemblance to him. Had he really done that...? He had thought he had buried his past, but... Now it was all closing in around him, and he felt trapped.

(duhn duhn DUHN!!!! Touya's dark past is revealed! I did this entirely on a whim, because I looked at his profile and realized I hadn't made up a past for him, so... Not only is he my mystery guy, but now, he's also a major player!!!! As a note, obviously the children arent more than one or two years old, because Touya isn't that old, but the fact remains that he got several girls pregnant and then just abandoned them. He has a very messed up past that caused him to act like that(thats still not an excuse) and I plan on talking more about that later in the post, but first I want to find out how Kathryn takes all of this. Please don't kill me for turning her dream guy into an absolute ass hole... =s)

Kathryn said nothing as she simply looked at Touya, her trust for him beginning to shatter at what was unfolding in front of her...
Closing her eyes she spoke in a deadly calm voice.
"Touya... What is this..."
If he tried to step closer to her, she would back away from him... heck if he even tried to get close to her to many times, she would shift into a wolf and leave him standing there....

Hanako snickered, "I take that to mean you didn't know what he was like? He would steal girl's hearts, just for fun, and as soon as they fell for him, he would ignore them completely. I'm a lot stronger now, Touya, I'm not going to sit around trying to make you reconsider, I can stand on my own two legs!"

Touya remained silent for a minute, his mind racing. This was it; Kathryn was going to leave and never talk to him again. He was finished. "When I left that village a year ago I stopped all that!"

"Right... Okay, so saying you really did stop, you think you can just forget about all of us and we'll go away? Why should you be the only one happy, when you made us go through all of this?" The woman who had spoken looked frail and aged past her years. She was holding a small two year old child against her chest, and her eyes looked dim and overly weary.

"I... I didn't mean for-"

"Aw, screw this! Why the hell are we talking this civilly to someone like him? Let's just kill him already!"

"We didn't come here to kill him, Mizuki-" Hanako started, but the other girl didn't seem to hear her. She pulled a long, slender sword out, and ran towards him.

Touya's muscles clenched, and he easily stepped out of the way. But Mizuki kept coming, swinging the sword at him again and again. "You bastard, why wont you fight back?"

Touya sidestepped again, and Mizuki fell forward from her own momentum. She jumped back up, "That's it, if you wont fight me then I'll kill your new plaything instead!"

"Mizuki! Calm Down!" Hanako called, but again, Mizuki ignored her. She charged at Kathryn, her sword raised above her head.

Touya's mind blanked, and before he realized, he had placed himself between the two, his arms raised defensively in front of him.

Mizuki swung the sword down, cleaving through everything in it's path.

Touya's eyes widened as his eyes traveled from his bloody left shoulder, to the useless, completely severed appendage lying on the ground. He stared at it speechlessly.

Mizuki dropped her sword as the scent of blood got to her, "Oh, my god..."

Kathryn's eyes widened slightly, and before she knew it she had shifted into a dark colored wolf, moving in front of Touya, snarling at the women in front of her. She knew she would have to get him help swiftly, but in order to do so... she would need to be sure that no more attacks would be coming... no matter what.

After a moment she glanced back at Touya with a soft looking before mentally reaching out to him.
'You need a doctor and now Touya.... you can't become lost to me...."

Mizuki stumbled backwards, "What..."

Hanako ran forward and grabbed hold of her, dragging her farther back, "Mizuki, you idiot! You can't solve everything with violence!"

Her eyes glanced down at the wolf, "So you really did find someone important to you, eh, Touya?" She walked past the wolf casually, and stopped in front of him. "I don't think I'll ever forgive you for what you did to me, but I don't want your death on my hands." She tore off her sleeve and quickly tied it around his shoulder, where his arm had been, before he could protest. "Now go, and get that fixed before you really do die." She turned her head away, a scowl on her face.

Touya hadn't even noticed her; his eyes were still locked on his severed arm. Waves of pain brought him from his stupor, and he howled and clutched his shoulder with his right hand. He doubled over, his entire body stiff and tense. Then he collapsed to the ground. The blood had already soaked through the bandage, and was pouring onto the ground, staining the dirt beneath him.

Kathryn shifted back into herself, placing a hand on Touya, wrapping her arm around his waist as she glared at the others before moving the way they had come from, to a place that wasn't near these women... were she could hopefully find some way to stop the bleeding and find someone to heal his arm.

Silver Perfection had a feeling she was needed somewhere around here, she just didn't know where... that is, until she saw a girl attempting to help a boy with a severed arm walk. Walking towards the two, Silver noticed the girl had stopped before glancing at the boy.

"Touya, we ran into someone who can heal your arm... just hang on a bit longer please...."
Kathryn's eyes showed utter worry for the boy. as she gently rested him against a tree. Randomly have a needle and some thread in her bag, she placed stitches to hold his once severed arm to his shoulder once more. Having a severed arm stitched back to what it was severed from would probably make the healing for this mare easier, if not faster.

Silver walked towards the boy, lowering her muzzle down to his shoulder, her warm breath bowing out of her nostrils as she took gentle breaths. Releasing her healing power into his shoulder, making sure that everything that had been severed would be mending back together.

Touya howled in agony as he felt his bone mend itself together. He opened his eyes, and looked at Kathryn weakly, "Why did you help me? You found out about my past... And I didn't even get a chance to explain any of it. Not that explaining would make any difference. I can change what I did, and I can't give you my past. But if you'll let me, I can promise to give you my entire future..." He tired to smile, but had to squeeze one eye shut. "Damn... This isn't how I wanted things to turn out..."

Silver pulled her muzzle away after a few more minutes, backing up to give the two humans room.

Kathryn smiled as she knelt in front of him, cupping his face in her hands, placing a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Touya, stop it... you are fine. Besides i have a really good judge of character... i can tell you aren't as they said you used to be. Don't worry about me giving you another chance, you already have it."

Touya gave a relieved sigh and smiled as best he could, "Really... Thanks." Then, without thinking, he brought his left arm to touch her face... At least he thought he did. With a start, he looked down at his arm, which hadn't moved an inch. "What the..." His shoulder quivered from his excess effort, and now he was sweating from frustration, but still the arm refused to move. "It... It wont move! I can't move my arm!" He was panicking now; the usually cool and detached Touya had completely lost his nerve. If he couldn't use his arm, how could he fight? How could he protect what was important to him? How could he protect Kathryn?

Kathryn noticed what was unsettling him, however before she could speak, the silvery mare touched her muzzle to the boy's forehead.
"calm down young one, do not try to stress your arm or even move it for atleast an hour or two. at the worst it might take up to a day for your nerves and muscles to begin to register again. but i have fully healed everything in your arm."

Kathryn had placed a calming hand on Touya's shoulder as she sat next to him, slight worry in her eyes.

Touya tilted his head to look at her and grinned, "What's with that expression? I'm fine, okay? You don't have to worry." He stood up slowly, being careful not to move his left arm, then held his right arm out, palm upward. He closed his eyes in concentration, and a long, thin chain appeared, looped loosely around his hand. Then he wrapped it around his body to attach his arm to his side. This way, it would stay in place until it was healed.

"Ne... Do you think it would be asking to much to still get something to eat after all this?" He didn't want to push his still-developing trust with Kathryn, but... His stomach won out. He was still starving.

Kathryn watched him before nodding at his question.
"it's not too much to ask Touya. Let's go get you something to eat."
She held out her hand, she was still worried about his arm and the fact that it had gotten injured like it had...

The girl's voice barely came out as a whisper as she stared at the form in front of her in horror, "Wh... What are y-" But she was cut short. In that instant her life had ended.

A dark laugh ripped from the throat of her killer. Her innocent, child-like face was contorted into a sneer as she raised her sword to her face and licked the blood that stained it. She straightened her back to her full height, all of 5'2", and kicked over the body of her victim. A smile lit her face as she noticed the expression of pain clearly overtaking the dead girl's features. "That will teach you to hurt him."

The girl raised her face and gazed off into the distance, toward the direction she needed to go. "That means I have one more target, one more girl who has overstepped her boundaries. Then he will be mine." With this thought, another cruel smile flickered across the girl's childlike face.

Touya grinned in relief at Kathryn's answer. She really didn't hate him? He clasped his good hand around hers and stood up. He watched Kathryn with a stupid grin, unaware that another person was also watching her, with a much more malicious grin.

"Hmmmm.... First, I need to get him out of the way... I don't want him getting hurt trying to protect her, like last time..."

(ooooohhhh, the plot thickens... o.O You know who that girl killed in the beginning, right? And can you guess at all who she is(the killer)?)
