Fate simply stayed even with Eblis, glancing over at him she started up a mental connection.
'You should allow the chains to give you energy... It would make this trip easier and then you wouldn't have to look so tortured.... Ember really isn't that bad. Believe it or not... She saved my life when I was born an orphan... Zero joined us later on, he really isn't as bad as he seems.... but he had a troubled past he never talks about.... You really should give them a chance and they might surprise you....'
Fate watched the mare, stallion adn their colt as Zero basically walked in the lead... Fate explanded her power to keep them all blended into the scenery around them so that no one would be able to tell what was going on...

After they had been walking a while, the trees began to thin. Zero kept going; they were almost back. Then, stretched in the distance, appeared a huge rift carved into the rock. He stood at the edge, staring down into the endless darkness, and took a step over to... stand on nothing. He glanced back at them, "Come on, it's fine." Courage was the first to take a tentative step over the edge. Nothing happened. "There's a bridge here," Zero explained impatiently, "You can't see it because it's made of the same material as my threads. But that also means it's indestructible." He continued walking across, followed by Courage and Fang, "It also works because if an enemy manages to find it, I will be alerted the minute they step onto my bridge. Our hideout is untouchable."

He didn't even look at her but spoke back through his mind, 'All I am to them is money. Nothing more but yet so much less. And why do you care if I look tortured? I now have a weighing chain on my soul. I was unable to protect my family. Do you know what that feels like?' His thoughts were sorrowful. He saw the crevice and when his son took a step forward he couldn't help but call out to him.
Careful Courage. He couldn't even keep it from coming out of his mouth. His eyes flicked over to Fang, hoping she would be okay. He nuzzled her side reassuring her, as he took his first step on the bridge. |

Fate sighed before responding to Eblis once more with her telepathy.
"No I have no idea what it is like to have failed your family... But do you know what it's like to be born completely innocent and for no reason known left in the world to die? Nothing in this world makes sense, but as long as you are breathing then you have to fight for you life and just make do with what life gives you and be grateful....'
Her chocolate orbs flashing with a latent fire in the back of them. She knew the stallion must feel like he had failed and was unworthy of helping his family... but hey, they were still alive and as long as they were, which nothing bad would trully happen now that Ember and Zero had caught them, and as long as they were alive then he should try his best to make sure they stayed together and give them the hope they probably wanted. |

After they reached the other side, Zero turned to Ember. He knew she was weak right now, but he needed to know what they were doing. "Is Mr. Contractor here yet? I don't know if we should leave them in the barn if he isn't, that stallion might still have tricks up his sleeve if we aren't there to watch him..." His eyes gleamed as he shot a glance towards Eblis, "Of course, if they escape after we turn them over, we would still be paid." He hinted at the idea, keeping his tone low. After they turned the horses over and received their pay, he would remove all threads attached to them, which meant unless the Contractor proved to be just as strong as them, the horses would have no problem escaping. He turned away and shook his head softly; either way it meant nothing to him.

He looked at Fate smiled slightly she was right, but he didn't know the right time. Her turned his head toward Zero as he spoke, and gripped every word that left his mouth. The corner of his lips rose and he gave a silent nod of thanks to Zero. He looked over to his mare and colt and winked. He picked up his head and let his spirit rise. He pranced and showed his worth, then reached over and gave Ember some energy so she would liven up. He acted as if he owned the place now, nudging his colt and mare to act the same way.

Ember tiredly picked her head as she looked to Zero.
"The contractor won't be here until tomorrow.... we are lucky we saved time.... even with those incidents... I should be fine by tomorrow... So you won't have to deal with the contractor much..."
She nodded her head, scratching her mares whiters in a thankful way. She was glad Fate had come or else she would ahve slowed them down now that she was worn out... And she would be tired even more when she would heal the wounds of the horses... Though if she kept Fate with them then they should be fine...

Zero sighed, "Alright, I guess I'll have to chain them for the night. I'll take care of it, so you can just get some rest." He smiled warmly, but then quickly turned and led the two horses out towards the field. "I wont close you in the barn, but you'll have to stay here for the night." He quickly twisted the threads he was holding into one big rope, and attached it to the ground. "The lead is pretty long, so you can roam around and do... whatever it is you do, but don't try to escape... Under the ground I set up a network of strings that covers our whole hideout, and I have attached the leads to that network. If you do anything, I'll know." His voice wasn't the least bit hostile or on edge; he sounded almost bored. "That's it then, goodnight." He turned and started walking back.
Courage touched Zero's shoulder with his nose. "Thanks," he said softly. He didn't know why he said it, he just got the feeling that while the man tried hard to pretend he didn't, he honestly cared about their safety. In a way, the man was protecting his own family, just as he would do.
Zero didn't turn his head, he just kept walking. When he was a good distance from them, he clenched his hand into a fist. "Baka! What the hell are you thanking me for? I'm the one who captured you..." he mumbled quietly, "I just don't get it..."

Eblis yawned and stayed near Courage and Fang. He felt like a failure in not protecting his family. But it happened.

Once Ember made it into the base, it took the last of her strength to make it to the cuch before she collapsed. A tired sigh leaving her lips, eyes closing as she was dragged down into a deep sleep.
Fate watched Ember walk into the orgnization building before walking by herself to the barn. Passing Zero she stopped to watch him, her mule touching his shoulder. She knew it was hard for him to deal with what was all going on. She had a feeling that tomorrow would be somewhat worse too...
'Zero are you alright.'
Her thoughts went to him quetly. She talked to him when he was around, hopefully he wouldn't mind her asking, she had been able to tell he wa touching about those kind of things.

Zero looked at Fate lightly. "Hm? I'm fine." He gave a quick grin to back himself up, and then kept walking. He needed to sleep... His head was messed up right now; why would he even think of doing anything that might endanger his family? He lay out on the grass after quickly lacing the ground with his threads so that no one could sneak up on him. Then he stared up into the sky and fell asleep watching the stars.

Skylight
The tiny fairy had been here long before these horses and people. She lay in the grass, her wings stretched out beside her. Her long brown hair fell over her shoulders and onto the lush green grass. As she heard hooves approaching she pushed herself up into a sitting position and rose gracefully into the air. She raised an eyebrow as around three people and three horses entered the place. She flittered up, high in the air as the people tied the horses and then went away. Then she flew down towards them. “What have we here?” Her voice had a glint of menace and cunningness to it. Yes, this fairy was cunning, cunning and devilish.
Sky landed on top of the stallions whither. “Mind if I rest her?” She didn’t wait for an answer but settled herself down. “Thankyou” she said giving the stallion a radiant smile. “I am Sky, you are Eblis, Fang and Courage” Sky smiled at them then rose up into the air and did a dance looking slightly maniacal. She looked down at the horses and wrapped her wings around her letting herself dive into a freefall. She giggled hysterically. “This place is so fun. We are going to be such good friends!”
The pretty fairy winked at the horses. Sky giggled and twirled down to the ground in a shower of sparkles and light. Then she raised a purple wand and pointed it at random things. “You know...” Sky settled down on the haunches of the stallion running her wand in circles on his rump. “If you stay here long enough you start to lose your senses” She giggled, that didn’t apply to her of course, because Sky had always been slightly mad. She sighed and moved up settling herself into the stallion’s mane, wrapping it around her keeping her warm. “So, why are you here?” Sky raised an eyebrow. “And who are ‘they’” She said ‘they’ with a disgust. “This is technically my territory and you are trespassing” I glared. “But I always welcome friends, I love company”
OOC: Hope you don’t mind me posting, I’ll make sure sky doesn’t cause any trouble –shifty eyes- or maybe not. Lol, just tell me if u want me to delete my post, thanks, I finally managed writing in third person –rolls eyes- This is such an achievement! lol

Fte shook her mane as she watched Zero, she had a feeling Zero wasn't telling the whole truth...
Walking towards the barn her body language was highly relaxed, she raised her head only when she was near the barn entrance bfore looking at the others.
"Believe me they are only holding you guys like this becuase they want n run aways... tomorrow my owner will be fully rested and able to heal anyone who wants it..."
Her voie was light and held no sharp tone to it. Then something caught her eye. Instantly he mind zoned and locked in on the one creature that was new..
'Who are you and why are you here?'
